On September 27, the center of contemporary world studies under the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) co-organized a seminar themed on "China-US relations and international development and cooperation" via video link. Chen Zhou, Vice-minister of the IDCPC and Chairman of the Council of the Silk Road Think Tank Association (SRTA) and Chen Xiaodong, President of the SIIS attended and addressed the function. Experts from the US, Pakistan, Thailand, Armenia, Portugal, Nigeria, Mexico and other countries were present. The participants exchanged views on the responsibilities of China and the US as two major countries, China-US cooperation and global interconnectivity under the new circumstances, and studied and put forward constructive suggestions for the healthy development of China-US relations.
