The International Seminar on Enhancing International Civil Society Solidarity and Cooperation to Build a Better World for All Held

Beijing, November 15th—Organized by the China NGO Network for International Exchanges and guided by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, the international seminar on Enhancing International Civil Society Solidarity and Cooperation to Build a Better World for All was held both online and offline. The seminar aimed to promote comprehensive understanding of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the international civil society, promote mutual understanding and forge closer bonds with other peoples, and build consensus and strength to accomplish a community with a shared future for mankind. Chen Zhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Hassan Ghafourifard, former Vice President of Iran and Chairman of the Foundation for Islamic Development, and Ek Sam Ol, Member of the Standing Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party and President of Cambodia-China Friendship Association, delivered speeches at the seminar. Zuo Peng, Director of Marxist theory research department of the Central Institute of Socialism, Zuliyati Simayi, a delegate to the 20th CPC National Congress, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of Kashi University, and Yu Ruofei, a delegate to the 20th National Congress and team leader of the Blue Sky Rescue of Gansu Province, made in-depth presentations on the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress. More than 200 representatives of civil society organizations, think tanks and media from more than 70 countries attended the seminar.

Chen Zhou said that the 20th CPC National Congress reviewed and summarized the work of the past five years and the great changes in the first decade of the new era, and drew a grand blueprint for promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese modernization. The establishment of both Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era is the major political achievement of the CPC in the new era, and the decisive factor of historic achievements and historic changes in the cause of the Party and the country. International civil society is a vital force in boosting exchanges and mutual learning of civilizations, promoting mutual understanding and forging closer bonds with other peoples, preserving world peace and promoting common development, and carrying forward the shared values of all humanity and building a community with a shared future for mankind. We should shoulder our mission, strengthen our responsibility, adhere to the people-centered philosophy, advance exchanges and mutual understanding, vigorously carry forward the shared values of all humanity and actively build international civil society partnership to promote mutual understanding, forge closer bonds with other peoples and join hands to create a better future for mankind.

Participants from other countries warmly congratulated on the success of the 20th CPC National Congress and the election of Comrade Xi Jinping as the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, and spoke highly of the decisive significance of the establishment of both Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and the great changes in the first decade of the new era. They said that the seminar will help international civil society understand the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and China’s major moves to seek for economic and social development in an all-round and accurate way. It will also help deepen exchanges and cooperation among international civil societies, address various global challenges with concerted efforts and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
