Guo emphatically briefed the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and expressed the CPC's willingness to take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Malta diplomatic relations as an opportunity to strengthen the exchange of experience in state governance and administration with the Labour Party of Malta and promote the continuous development of bilateral relations and China-European Union relations.

Micallef congratulated on success of the 20th CPC National Congress and expressed the Labour Party's willingness to further strengthen the institutionalized exchanges between the two Parties, in a bid to provide impetus for pushing Malta-China relations and European Union-China relations to new highs.
