Briefing on "Significance of the 20th CPC National Congress on China-UK Relations and the World" Held

Beijing, December 8th—The International Department of the CPC Central Committee held here today a briefing on "significance of the 20th CPC National Congress on China-UK relations and the world". Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee attended the event and delivered a speech. Guo emphasized that China will advance the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization, which will provide new development opportunities for all countries in the world, including the UK. It is hoped that China and the UK will adhere to mutual respect, strengthen mutual understanding, focus on pragmatic cooperation and continuously enhance the well-being of the two peoples.

Leading officials of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee and the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC (National Academy of Governance) were present. More than 30 participants from the Future Leaders Programme of the Great Britain-China Centre attended the event. The participants are from the Treasury of the United Kingdom (UK), the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the UK, the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy of the UK, the Department for International Trade of the UK, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities of the UK and other government departments, as well as well-known enterprises and non-governmental organizations
