Liu briefed on the main situation of the 20th CPC National Congress, saying that the Congress has comprehensively summarized the work of the past five years and the great changes in the first decade of the new era, made overall plans and deployment for advancing the cause of the Party and the country in the next five years and beyond, and drew a blueprint of the missions and tasks of the Chinese communists on the new journey of the new era. Under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the CPC will comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through a Chinese path to modernization. China will continue to pursue an independent foreign policy of peace, firmly adhere to an opening-up strategy of mutual benefit and win-win results, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Liu noted, the Chinese side firmly supports Venezuela in safeguarding national sovereignty, national dignity, and development rights, and firmly supports the Venezuelan people in independently exploring their own development path. The friendly cooperation between the CPC and the United Socialist Party is an important cornerstone for the continuous development of relations between the two countries. In the new era, the CPC is willing to work with the United Socialist Party to implement the important consensus reached by General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Nicolás Maduro, intensify high-level exchanges, deepen the exchange of experience in state governance and administration, and strengthen exchanges between the functional departments of the two Parties, to push the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries for greater development.

Cabello warmly congratulated on the successful holding of the 20th CPC National Congress, spoke highly of the great achievements of the Chinese people in building socialism with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the CPC, and thanked the Chinese side for its long-term support for Bolivar’s just cause, as well as for its precious support in Venezuela’s economic development and fight against the COVID-19. Cabello briefed on the situation of the 5th Congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, saying that the 5th Congress has analyzed the main problems facing Venezuela’s economic and social development and made arrangements for Venezuela’s development in the next four years. The United Socialist Party firmly adheres to the one-China principle, resolutely opposes any force interfering in China’s internal affairs, and is willing to strengthen experience exchanges with the CPC in party governance and state administration, and promote practical cooperation in various fields to push for the further development of Venezuela-China relations.
