The CPC Delegation Visits Bangladesh, Thailand and Sri Lanka

Chen Zhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit Bangladesh, Thailand and Sri Lanka at the invitation of Bangladesh Awami League, Palang Pracharat Party of Thailand, and Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna from January 9 to 18.

In Bangladesh, the CPC delegation held a briefing on the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress for all sectors of Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina, President of Bangladesh Awami League and Bangladeshi Prime Minister, as well as leaders of major political parties of Bangladesh, met with the delegation.

In Thailand, the CPC delegation held a briefing on the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress for all sectors of Thailand. Prawit Wongsuwan, Leader of Palang Pracharath Party and Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, as well as leaders of major political parties of Thailand such as Phak Phuea Thai and the Thai Sang Thai Party, met with the delegation.

In Sri Lanka, the CPC delegation held a briefing on the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress for all sectors of Sri Lanka. Ranil Wickremesinghe, Leader of the United National Party and President of Sri Lanka, Dinesh Gunawardena, Leader of People's United Front and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Sri Lanka's Speaker of Parliament, and Mahinda Rajapaksa, Leader of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and former President of Sri Lanka, met with the delegation respectively.

All sectors of the three countries said, the 20th CPC National Congress has not only drawn a grand blueprint for China's development in the future, but has also injected precious stability and positive energy into the world. The Chinese path to modernization brings them important enlightenment to explore modernization. They all look forward to further expanding and strengthening practical cooperation in all areas under the Belt and Road Initiative with China and benefit from China's development.
