The CPC Delegation Visits Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Malta

Guo Yezhou, Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation in visiting Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Malta at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, the Norwegian Labour Party and the Malta Labour Party from February 18th to March 1st.

In Denmark, the delegation held a briefing on the 20th CPC National Congress to all sectors of the Danish society, and met with Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Leader of the Moderates and, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Lasse Ryberg, Secretary General of the Social Democratic Party, and Jeppe Tranholm-Mikkelsen, Permanent Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.

In Iceland, the delegation held a briefing on the 20th CPC National Congress to all sectors of the Icelandic society, and met with Thórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir, Vice Chairman of the Independence Party and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, former President of Iceland and Chairman of the Arctic Circle, and Anna Jóhannsdóttir, Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

In Norway, the delegation held a briefing on the 20th CPC National Congress to all sectors of the Norwegian society, and met with Bjørnar Selnes Skjæran, Deputy Leader of the Norwegian Labour Party and Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, Anniken Huitfeldt, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Erling Rimestad, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In Malta, the delegation held a briefing on the 20th CPC National Congress to all sectors of the Maltese society and met with Ian Borg, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, Bernard Grech, Leader of the Nationalist Party, and Daniel Micallef, Deputy Leader of the Labor Party.

All sectors of the four countries spoke highly of the great significance of the 20th CPC National Congress, stressing that the Congress has created new opportunities for relevant countries to cooperate with China. They look forward to closely working with the Chinese side, promoting exchanges of ideas, and deepening practical cooperation  for further growth of both bilateral and China-Europe relations.
