The CPC Delegation Visits Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda

At the invitation of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) of Kenya, the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) of Tanzania, and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) of Uganda, Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit the three countries from February 21st to March 2nd.

In Kenya, the CPC delegation held a briefing on the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, and met with William Samoei Ruto, Leader of the UDA and President of Kenya, and Rigathi Gachagua, Deputy Leader of the UDA and Deputy President of Kenya. They also held a work meeting with Veronica Maina, Secretary General of the UDA.

In Tanzania, the CPC delegation held a special briefing on the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress for all sectors of Tanzania, and met with Samia Suluhu Hassan, Chairperson of the CCM and President of Tanzania, and Abdulrahman Kinana, Vice Chairman of the CCM. They also held a work meeting with Daniel Chongolo, Secretary General of the CCM, and discussed with Marcellina Chijoriga, Principal of the Mwalimu Nyerere Leadership School.

In Uganda, the CPC delegation held a special briefing on the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress for all sectors of Uganda, and met with Jessica Alupo, Deputy President of Uganda, and Mike Mukula, Vice Chairman of the NRM. They also held a work meeting with Richard Todwong, Secretary General of the NRM.

The ruling parties and personages from all walks of life in the three countries said that the 20th CPC National Congress has drawn a blueprint for China's future development and will also have a profound impact on the world. They expressed their willingness to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with the Chinese side in the exploration of modernization, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and jointly promote the development of bilateral relations.
