Zhu spoke positively of China-Lebanon relations, saying that the CPC attaches great importance to the friendly and cooperative relationship with the Progressive Socialist Party, and is willing to work with the Lebanese side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, further deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties in various fields, and promote China-Lebanon relations through inter-party channels to new levels. Zhu also briefed the Lebanese side on the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, the two sessions and the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting.

Yaghi warmly congratulated on the election of Xi Jinping, who is the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, as President of China by a unanimous vote. Yaghi expected that the CPC to make greater contributions to world peace, progress and development by holding high-level meetings.
