Beijing, March 31st—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of young leaders of Cambodian People's Party (CPP) led by Sean Borath, Member of the CPP Central Committee, Personal Advisor to Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and Under Secretary of State to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.

Liu said, China and Cambodia share a deep traditional friendship, and are "ironclad" friends and a community with a shared future. Earlier this year, President Xi Jinping held a friendly meeting with Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who was on a visit to China upon invitation, jointly opening a new era of building a high-quality, high-level, and high-standard China-Cambodia community with a shared future. The youth are the future of the relations between the two countries. The CPC has long maintained close ties with the CPP and is willing to work with the Cambodian side to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of both Parties, exchange experiences in party building and state governance, expand cooperation in party discipline and organization, make good use of the platform of the Youth House for Cambodia-China Friendship, and enhance exchanges among young officials to carry forward the China-Cambodia friendly cause.

The Chinese side is glad to see that under the leadership of the Cambodian government headed by Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodia has continuously made new achievements in national development, and Cambodian people's lives have been improved. The Chinese side supports the Cambodian side in following a development path suited to its national conditions and is willing to strengthen political mutual trust with the Cambodian side, firmly support each other on issues involving each other's core interests, jointly oppose external interference, and join hands to deepen the building of the China-Cambodia community with a shared future.

Sean Borath said that the friendship between Cambodia and China has a long history. In recent years, under the joint guidance of Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and President Xi Jinping, Cambodia and China have witnessed consolidated political mutual trust and fruitful economic and trade cooperation achieved on the basis of the principles of mutual respect and win-win cooperation. During this visit, we are deeply impressed by China's tremendous achievements in economic and social development under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping. The CPP looks forward to learning from the CPC's experience in party building and state governance and hopes to strengthen exchanges between youth organizations. Cambodian young people are inspired by the high-level attention given to the development of bilateral relations by the leaders of both Cambodia and China and are committed to carrying on the Cambodia-China friendship. The Cambodian side highly appreciates the Chinese side's important contributions to promoting world development and maintaining peace for mankind. It is hoped that both sides can take the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of both Parties and countries, continuously expand cooperation at all levels and in all fields, and promote the in-depth development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Cambodia and China.
