During the meeting, Zhu highlighted Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, and the Global Civilization Initiative. He emphasized the long-standing and unshakable friendship between China and Yemen and the notable achievements in inter-party exchanges between the two countries. Zhu expressed the Chinese side's willingness to work with the Yemeni side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and firmly support each other, so as to promote the stable and long-term development of China-Yemen relations.

Maitami congratulated on the successful convening of the 20th CPC National Congress and the "two sessions", as well as General Secretary Xi Jinping's election as Chinese President. He highly spoke of President Xi Jinping's Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative, and their significant importance to the stability and development of the Middle East. Maitami spoke positively of the relationship between the two countries, emphasizing the Yemeni side's unwavering support for China on issues concerning China's core interests and major concerns. He hoped that the Chinese side will play a greater role in addressing the Yemeni issue.
