Liu stated that China and Egypt have deep-rooted traditional friendship, firm political mutual trust, and significant achievements in practical cooperation. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership has made considerable progress. The CPC maintains close contact with Egyptian political parties and organizations, and firmly supports each other on issues concerning respective core interests. It is hoped that both sides will make good use of inter-party exchanges, strengthen ideological communication and exchanges between youth, promote the Belt and Road cooperation, advance each country's development, and enhance the welfare of the people of both countries.

The Chinese side welcomes the decision made at the meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Cairo to reinstate Syria's membership and is willing to strengthen international coordination with the Egyptian side to jointly promote China-Arab States and China-Africa cooperation, and to advance regional and global peace and development.

Hanafi said, Egypt is pleased to have such a great friend as China. My tenure in China has given me firsthand experience of the economic development achievements China has made under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping. Egypt is the first Arab and African country to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China, and Egyptian political parties and organizations value their friendly exchanges with the CPC. Currently, both sides enjoy frequent high-level exchanges, with fruitful results in bilateral practical cooperation. The Egyptian side has always adhered to the one-China principle and resolutely opposed external forces interfering in China's internal affairs. Hanafi expressed the willingness to play a positive role during his tenure in enhancing mutual trust and people-to-people bond between the two countries, and advancing multilateral cooperation, to promote greater development of Egypt-China relations.
