Guo Yezhou Meets with a Delegation of the CPV Commission for Internal Affairs

Beijing, May 22nd—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Nguyen Van Yen, deputy head of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Commission for Internal Affairs.

Guo said, at the end of October last year, General Secretary Xi Jinping held historic talks with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, jointly outlining a new vision for China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperation in the new era. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Vietnamese side to implement the important consensus reached by the general secretaries of the two Parties with stronger political determination and more effective measures, and push China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and the cause of socialist construction of the two countries for greater development in the new era, so as to better benefit the two countries and the two peoples.

Guo introduced relevant situation of the CPC's themed education campaign on learning and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era. He said, the Chinese side is ready to strengthen experience exchanges in party building and state governance with the Vietnamese side to push forward the development of respective party building.

Nguyen Van Yen said, the CPV attaches great importance to developing Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, adding that Vietnam-China relations are at the best period in history now. The Vietnamese side is willing to work with the Chinese side to consolidate and develop the traditional friendship created and carefully cultivated by the elder generations of leaders of the two Parties, intensify exchanges and cooperation between counterpart departments, and deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in party building, state governance and anti-corruption.
