Liu said, China and the UK have extensive common interests. The European Union (EU) is an important force in the world and an important cooperative partner of China. Recently, high-level interactions between China and the EU have increased, sending positive signals to the outside world. The Chinese side is willing to strengthen communication, enhance understanding, focus on cooperation and properly handle differences with the British side and the EU on the basis of the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit. At present, China is promoting Chinese modernization on all fronts, which will provide more development opportunities for all regions of the world, including Europe. The CPC is willing to strengthen strategic communication with major political parties of the UK to promote the healthy and stable development of China-UK relations and China-EU relations.

Mandelson said, the current world situation is very different from the past. European countries have no intention of containing China's development and do not support "decoupling" with China. It is hoped that the European business community will continue to enjoy a good business environment and opportunities in conducting business and investing in China.
