Liu Jianchao Meets with Vladimir Bolea, Vice Chairman of Party of Action and Solidarity, Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova

Beijing, June 8th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Vladimir Bolea, Vice Chairman of Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova.

Liu said, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Moldova, bilateral relations have maintained healthy and stable development, and the friendship and trust between the two peoples have been constantly deepened. The CPC attaches importance to establishing and developing friendly relations with various political parties in Moldova. It is hoped that based on mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit, the CPC can strengthen exchanges with the PAS, jointly play the political leading role of ruling parties, promote mutual learning, and advance cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, agriculture, culture, tourism, and local affairs, continuously consolidating the political and public opinion foundation of China-Moldova friendship.

Liu said, China is embarking on a new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respects and marching toward the second centenary goal. China will adhere to the path of peaceful development, promote high-quality development and high-level opening-up, and contribute stability and new opportunities to the world through Chinese modernization. The Chinese side has always supported the Moldovan side in independently choosing its development path and policy orientation based on its national conditions, and regards the Moldovan side as an important cooperative partner in modernization process and the Belt and Road cooperation.

Bolea said, in recent years, Moldova-China relations have maintained a good momentum of development, with more political dialogues and great potential in various fields such as economy, trade, agriculture, energy, science and education. Moldova attaches importance to developing friendly cooperative relations with China. Currently, the PAS bears the responsibility of developing the national economy and is willing to expand pragmatic cooperation between the two sides. The Moldovan side welcomes Chinese companies to invest and start businesses in Moldova, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and contribute to the greater development of Moldova-China relations. The Moldovan side is willing to strengthen coordination on multilateral affairs with the Chinese side to promote regional peace and development.
