Li Mingxiang Meets with a NRM Delegation of Uganda

Beijing, September 4th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of National Resistance Movement (NRM) of Uganda led by Richard Todwong, Secretary General of the NRM.

Li spoke positively of the relations between the two Parties and countries, and introduced President Xi Jinping's visit to South Africa for the 15th BRICS Summit and China-Africa Leaders' Dialogue, as well as the three major global initiatives. He expressed the Chinese side's willingness to work with the Ugandan side to further implement the important consensus between General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Yoweri Museveni, strengthen experience exchange in state governance and administration, ensure the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, push China-Uganda comprehensive cooperative partnership to a new level in the new era, and work together to build a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.

The Ugandan side highly appreciated General Secretary Xi Jinping's new initiative to boost Africa's development and the three major global initiatives, and thanked the Chinese side for supporting Uganda in exploring a path of modernization that suits its own national conditions, and expressed the hope to further learn the experience in state governance and administration from the CPC to better promote development and prosperity of Uganda.
