Thongloun said, at the end of last year, I paid a successful state visit to China upon invitation, during which General Secretary Xi Jinping and I reached important consensus on the relations between the two Parties and the two countries, and vigorously led and promoted the construction of the Laos-China community with a shared future. The Lao side speaks highly of the key role played by the action plan of the Laos-China community with a shared future in the development of Laos-China relations under the new situation, and is willing to negotiate and sign an action plan for the next five years with the Chinese side as scheduled. The Lao side will work with the Chinese side to unswervingly promote the construction of the Laos-China community with a shared future and continue to deepen and expand practical cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Thongloun said, the Lao side sincerely thanks the Chinese side for its long-term and huge support to Laos’ socialist cause, and is willing to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the Chinese side to better promote the development of Laos’ socialist construction cause. The concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and the three major global initiatives put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping will benefit all countries and peoples in the world, including Laos. The Lao side is willing to actively support and implement them. Facing the profound and complex evolution of the international and regional situation, the Lao side is willing to work with the Chinese side to deal with various risks and challenges.

Liu conveyed General Secretary Xi Jinping's warm greetings and best wishes to Thongloun. He said, under the strategic guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Thongloun, the relations between the two Parties and the two countries have enjoyed strong development momentum, with cooperation under the framework of the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the China-Laos community with a shared future achieving fruitful results, demonstrating high quality and broad prospects. The Chinese side is willing to step up work with the Lao side, negotiate and sign an action plan for the next five years, strengthen high-level strategic communication, deepen inter-party exchanges, expand practical cooperation, and continuously promote China-Laos relations and the construction of the China-Laos community with a shared future for new and greater results.

Liu thanked the Lao side for its strong support and active participation in the construction of the BRI and the three major global initiatives. He looked forward to the joint efforts of both sides to earnestly promote the implementation and actively set an example for building a community with a shared future for mankind.
