Guo welcomed Bruno Angelet on his assumption of the new post in China. He said, China-Belgium relations maintain good momentum of development, with fruitful results of cooperation in various fields. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the European Union (EU). The Chinese side is willing to work with the Belgian side to adhere to dialogue and cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win results, and provide fresh impetus for the greater development of China-Belgium and China-EU relations.

Bruno Angelet said, China has a long history and splendid culture, and has achieved remarkable development achievements in recent years. The Belgian side attaches importance to developing relations with China, and is willing to work with the Chinese side to expand consensus, deepen cooperation, and jointly promote China-Belgium and China-EU relations for continuous progress.

The two sides also exchanged views on international issues of common concern.
