Li welcomed Delgado, who came to China to attend a thematic forum on people-to-people bonds of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. He said, this year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Uruguay. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Uruguayan side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously enrich the connotation of bilateral relations, and promote friendly cooperation between the two sides in various fields for more tangible results. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the White Party of Uruguay, deepen mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, and promote China-Uruguay relations for continuous development.

Delgado spoke positively of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries. He hoped to strengthen connectivity with China under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), enhance exchanges and cooperation in various fields, promote high-quality development of the Belt and Road cooperation, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. The White Party of Uruguay is willing to deepen exchanges and mutual learning with the CPC, promote the construction of respective parties and national development, and better benefit the two countries and the two peoples.
