Li Mingxiang Meets with Rick Miller, Member of the German Bundestag and Former Berlin Borough Mayor

Beijing, October 23rd—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Rick Miller, member of the German Bundestag and former Berlin Borough Mayor.

Li spoke positively of China-Germany relations, saying that the Chinese side is willing to work with the German side to continuously implement the cooperation consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, promote the healthy and stable development of China-Germany and China-EU relations, and make greater contributions to promoting world peace and development. The CPC attaches great importance to friendly exchanges with the German Social Democratic Party (SPD) and is willing to jointly celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of relations between our two Parties next year and improve the dialogue between the two Parties.

Miller said, China and Germany enjoy a sound cooperation foundation and close exchanges at all levels, which provide important support for the future development of bilateral relations. The German side looks forward to strengthening cooperation with the Chinese side in areas such as climate change, environmental protection, economy, trade and investment, and jointly coping with global challenges. The SPD will, as always, attach importance to exchanges and dialogue with the CPC.
