Li spoke positively of the relations between China and Suriname, saying that the Chinese side is willing to further deepen cooperation with the Surinamese side in various fields under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and promote China-Suriname strategic partnership of cooperation to a new level. The CPC is willing to, on the basis of the four principles of inter-party exchanges, establish and develop inter-party relations with the ABOP of Suriname, and promote China-Suriname relations for constant and in-depth development through inter-party exchanges.

Abiamofo said, the ABOP shares similar governance concepts with the CPC. One of the purposes of this visit is to establish and develop inter-party relations with the CPC. Through multi-tiered exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, the Surinamese side can learn experience in state governance and administration from the CPC and continuously push the development of bilateral relations. The Surinamese government will continue to firmly adhere to the one-China principle and strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side in various fields under the BRI framework to jointly benefit the two countries and peoples.
