Zhao Shitong Meets a Delegation of Cambodian People's Party

Kunming, November 8th—Zhao Shitong, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of senior officials from the Cambodian People's Party (CPP). The delegation was headed by Suos Yara, First Vice Chairman of the External Relations Commission of the CPP and Chairman of the Fifth Committee of the National Assembly of Cambodia.

Zhao welcomed Suos Yara and his delegation's attendance at the CPC in Dialogue with Political Parties of Southeast Asian and South Asian Countries and their visit to China. He said, The Chinese side attaches great importance to China-Cambodia relations and is willing to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two Parties and countries, share the outcomes of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, leverage the special advantages of inter-party channels, deepen experience exchanges in party building and state governance, and closely coordinate with each other on international and regional affairs, so as to contribute to building a high-quality, high-level, and high-standard China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era.

Suos Yara spoke highly of the CPC in Dialogue with Political Parties of Southeast Asian and South Asian Countries, seeing it as a reflection of China's sincere willingness and proactive measures in the Belt and Road cooperation with neighboring countries. He expressed the CPP's willingness, as a ruling party, to conduct close and friendly exchanges and cooperation with the CPC in various fields such as ideological exchange, practical cooperation, and official training. He also expressed the CPP's willingness to deepen the building of the Cambodia-China community with a shared future in the new era, take the lead in areas such as the Belt and Road cooperation, and propel the continuous development of Cambodia-China relations.
