Li welcomed Jasem on his assumption of the new post in China. He said, the Chinese side is willing to work with the Kuwaiti side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen experience exchanges in state governance and administration, deepen practical cooperation between the two countries under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and promote China-Kuwait strategic partnership for stable development in the long term.

Jasem said, the Kuwaiti side highly appreciates the BRI and the three major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, and is willing to strengthen strategic communication and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields with the Chinese side to promote bilateral relations for new and greater progress.
