The IDCPC Holds an Exhibition of Mongolian Paintings & China-Mongolia Cultural Exchange Activity

On November 22nd, the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) and the Mongolian Embassy in China jointly held an exhibition of Mongolian paintings and China-Mongolia cultural exchange activity at the IDCPC. Liu Jianchao, Minister of the IDCPC, and Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan, Secretary-General of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP), attended and addressed the event. Leaders from the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, the General Office of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Haidian District People's Government, the China Artists Association and other institutions, as well as teachers and students majoring in Mongolian from Peking University and Beijing Foreign Studies University attended the event.

Liu said, both Chinese and Mongolian cultures have their own characteristics and rich contents, and they are colorful flowers in the garden of world civilizations. President Xi Jinping put forward the Global Civilization Initiative, revealing the basic law of exchanges and development of civilizations and pointing out new prospects for cooperation in human society. At present, China is advancing Chinese modernization on all fronts, emphasizing material and cultural-ethical advancement, harmony between humanity and nature, and peaceful development, which will inject more positive energy into world peace and development and make new and greater contributions to the progress of human civilization. The Chinese side is willing to strengthen cultural exchanges and mutual learning with the Mongolian side, inspire and learn from each other, and constantly bring the hearts and minds of the people closer, lay a more solid foundation of public opinion for building a China-Mongolia community with a shared future, and pass on the traditional friendship between China and Mongolia from generation to generation.

Amarbayasgalan said, Mongolia and China are good neighbors and partners. The two countries have enjoyed solid mutual trust and intertwined interests. The Chinese side upholds amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness in its neighborhood diplomacy, which provides important opportunities for developing Mongolia-China cooperation. Friendship, which derives from close contact between the people, holds the key to sound state-to-state relations. The Mongolian side appreciates and supports the Global Civilization Initiative and is willing to strengthen exchanges between political parties and people-to-people and cultural exchanges with the Chinese side to deepen mutual understanding and promote greater development of the Mongolia-China comprehensive strategic partnership.

Amid melodious violin and piano ensembles, guests from home and abroad engaged in conversations in front of exquisite paintings and shared the unique charm of culture and art. Brushes convey friendship, and culture builds bridges. The guests said that by appreciating the paintings, they felt as if they were in the vast Mongolian grassland and the warmth of the Mongolian people, and deeply felt the long-standing cultural exchanges between the two countries as well as the value pursuit and good expectations of the two sides to jointly promote mutual learning between civilizations and people-to-people bonds.

Zhao Shitong, Assistant-minister of the IDCPC, and Tuvshin Badral, Mongolian Ambassador to China, attended the event.
