Liu said, the recent successful visit of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to China has laid an important foundation for stabilizing China-Australia relations and the gradual resumption of exchanges and cooperation in various fields. Economic and trade relations are one of the core aspects of China-Australia relations, and the significance of China-Australiae conomic and trade cooperation goes far beyond bilateral relations. China and Australia should jointly uphold the multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core, say no to any attempt to politicize or impose security implications on economic and trade issues, and oppose isolationism and protectionism in the name of “de-risking”. China will continue to promote high-level opening-up to provide new opportunities for global development through China's new development. The Chinese side is willing to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including economy, trade, and tourism, with the Australian side. China welcomes Australian enterprises to continue to invest and do business in China, and also hopes that the Australian side will provide better conditions and environment for Chinese investment.

Liu said, the stable development of China-Australia economic and trade cooperation relies on the sustained and healthy development of bilateral relations. The CPC has maintained long-term exchanges with major Australian political parties and is willing to actively promote dialogue and communication through inter-party channels, including experience exchanges and mutual learning between political parties, so as to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, and lay a solid foundation for the development of bilateral relations.

The Australian side looks forward to opening a new chapter in bilateral relations and "letting the past be the past".
