Liu said, the Chinese side has always viewed China-Iran relations from a strategic and long-term perspective. Under the current circumstances, China-Iran relations have gone beyond the bilateral scope and have important strategic, regional and global impacts. Since the beginning of this year, President Xi Jinping and President Ebrahim Raisi have met twice and reached important consensus, drawing a blueprint for China-Iran relations and cooperation in various fields. The Chinese side attaches importance to working with the Iranian side to give full play to the role of a platform for exchanges at all levels and cooperation mechanisms in various fields between the two countries, and to promote the China-Iran comprehensive cooperation plan for more results. China welcomes Iran's announcement to implement visa exemption for Chinese tourists, and includes Iran in the second batch of pilot countries to resume outbound group tourism. It is hoped that the two sides will strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges and inject new impetus into bilateral relations.

As the world enters a new period of turbulence and changes, the Chinese side appreciates and supports Iran in improving its relations with neighboring countries and supports Iran in playing an active role in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS cooperation mechanisms. The Chinese side is willing to, together with the Iranian side, continue to firmly support each other on issues involving each other's core interests and major concerns, jointly oppose external interference, resist unilateralism, safeguard the sovereignty, security, and development interests of China and Iran, and safeguard the common interests of developing countries and international fairness and justice.

Abdollahian said, the friendship between Iran and China has withstood the test and grown even stronger. Currently, relations between the two countries are developing at a high level. Both sides have jointly launched the implementation of the 25-year comprehensive cooperation plan, with political mutual trust, exchanges and cooperation being continuously strengthened. The Iranian side is pleased with the sound development momentum of bilateral relations and attaches importance to strengthening exchanges between political parties, governments and legislatures with the Chinese side, expanding cooperation in economy, trade, locality, culture and tourism, enhancing people-to-people connectivity, and making the results of cooperation better benefit the two peoples.

The international community is facing many complex problems. And China has an important international influence. The Iranian side hopes to strengthen coordination with the Chinese side on international hotspot issues under multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and BRICS, and expects the Chinese side to continue playing an important role in regional peace and stability.

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern such as the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the Afghan issue, and major-country relations.
