Sun Haiyan Meets with Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, President of Progressive Democratic Party and Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister of Malaysia

Beijing, December 11th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, President of Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) and Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister of Malaysia.

Sun spoke positively of China-Malaysia relations and exchanges between the two Parties. Saying that next year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, she hoped both sides will take this opportunity and take the joint building of China-Malaysia community with a shared future as guidance to promote practical cooperation between the two countries in various fields for fruitful results. The CPC is willing to further intensify friendly exchanges with the PDP, and deepen exchanges and mutual learning of governance experience, so as to push China-Malaysia relations for greater development in the new era and inject more stability into the region.

Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing highly appreciated China's development achievements and said, the PDP attaches great importance to developing friendly relations with the CPC and hopes to learn experience and practices in governing and rejuvenating the country from the CPC. The Malaysian side is ready to work with the Chinese side to well plan the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade, culture, and tourism, and constantly push Malaysia-China relations to new levels.
