Zhao Shitong Meets with a Delegation of Malaysian Business Community

Shenzhen, December 14th—Zhao Shitong, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a delegation of Malaysian business community led by Dato Sri Dr. Irmohizam Ibrahim, Treasurer of United Malays National Organization and Group Executive Director of World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).

Zhao said, China and Malaysia are good partners with mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. Under the joint guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Malaysia relations are constantly moving forward in the direction of jointly building a community with a shared future. Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. It is hoped that the two sides will take this opportunity to further deepen exchanges and cooperation between political parties, join hands in the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and promote China-Malaysia comprehensive strategic partnership for greater development.

Ibrahim said, he was very happy to visit China and attend the fourth Belt and Road China-Malaysia Business Dialogue upon invitation. The Malaysian side is willing to give full play to the power of political parties and business community, work with the Chinese side to promote exchanges at all levels and jointly build the BRI, push practical cooperation between the two countries in various fields for in-depth and tangible development, and bring hearts of the two peoples closer.
