Washington, January 12th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State. Both sides expressed their willingness to continue to strengthen dialogue and cooperation, working towards the implementation of the important consensus and outcomes from the meeting between the two heads of state in San Francisco. Liu elaborated on China's position on relevant issues, emphasizing the need for both sides to meet each other half way, and promote stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-U.S. relations. The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues.
