Sun Haiyan Meets with Marcel de Vink, Director-General for Political Affairs for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands

Beijing, February 26th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the afternoon with Marcel de Vink, Director-General for Political Affairs for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.  

Sun said, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands more than 50 years ago, the friendly cooperation between the two sides has been continuously expanded and deepened, and achieved fruitful results. China is willing to work with the Netherlands to continuously enhance mutual understanding and trust, deepen practical cooperation, strengthen communication and coordination on major international and regional issues, jointly promote the steady development of China-Netherlands and China-European Union (EU) relations, and promote world peace and stability. 

Marcel de Vink said, Netherlands-China relationship has a solid foundation. Cooperation between the two countries in various fields has brought tangible benefits to the two countries and peoples. The Netherlands looks forward to working with China to further implement the important consensus of leaders of both sides, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthen strategic communication, and promote the Netherlands-China open and pragmatic partnership for comprehensive cooperation for in-depth development.
