Beijing, February 26th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation from the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan, and the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan led by Ata Serdarow, leader of the Democratic Party.  

Liu welcomed the delegation from the three Parties in the Assembly of Turkmenistan to visit China at the beginning of the Chinese Lunar New Year, saying that China and Turkmenistan are good friends, good partners and good brothers. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 32 years ago, the two countries have upheld the principle of mutual respect, mutual benefit and win-win results and constantly pushed bilateral relations to new levels. The Chinese side is ready to work with the Turkmen side to implement the important consensus reached by General Secretary Xi Jinping and Turkmen leaders, strengthen synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and the strategy to revive the Great Silk Road in the process of pursuing modernization, expand cooperation in trade, health care, sports, tourism and other fields, enrich cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and continue to firmly support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests, so as to contribute to the continuous development of China-Central Asia cooperation.  

Liu said, the CPC has maintained close and friendly cooperation with the Democratic Party, the Agrarian Party, and the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, actively contributing to the development of bilateral relations. The CPC is willing to deepen exchanges with the three parties through bilateral and multilateral platforms and mechanisms such as the China-Central Asia political parties dialogue, strengthen mutual learning and experience exchanges in state governance and administration, promote cooperation in areas such as youth, think tanks, and media, and take the opportunity of cultural years in both countries to promote people-to-people bonds and lay a solid foundation of public opinion and social support for the sustained and healthy development of bilateral relations. The Chinese side firmly supports the Turkmen side in pursuing a development path suited to its national conditions and is willing to work with the Turkmen side to implement the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.  

Serdarow, on behalf of the three political parties of the Assembly of Turkmenistan, extended New Year greetings to the Chinese people. He said, the relationship between Turkmenistan and China has a long history, and in recent years, under the personal promotion of the two heads of state, bilateral relations have been upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership, with vigorous development in various fields. The Turkmen side congratulated China on its economic and social development achievements under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, especially in eliminating absolute poverty and building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. In the current situation, Turkmenistan-China relations are of more comprehensive and strategic significance. The three political parties of the Assembly of Turkmenistan are willing to learn more about the policies and measures taken by the CPC to lead the country to prosperity and progress, promote high-level development of inter-party relations, firmly support the two countries in reinforcing cooperation in all fields, and firmly support the two countries to enhance coordination on the international stage. China has become an important driving force for world economic development, and it is believed that the Chinese economy will maintain good momentum of development and achieve new achievements.
