Sun Haiyan Meets with Future Leaders Programme Participants of the Great Britain-China Centre

Beijing, March 14th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the afternoon with Future Leaders Programme Participants of the Great Britain-China Centre.


Sun introduced the connotation of Chinese modernization and concepts of China's foreign policy. She said, the Chinese side attaches great importance to China-UK relations and is willing to strengthen exchanges and communication with the British side to jointly push China-UK relations along the right track of dialogue and cooperation for steady and long-term development. More young people from all walks of life of the UK, including political parties, government departments, and universities, are welcome to visit China, learn about the real China and the CPC, so that they can make active efforts to promote the development of China-UK relations. 

The British side thanked the Chinese side for having in-depth and candid dialogue and exchanges, and expressed the willingness to promote bilateral economic and trade cooperation and strengthen communication on coping with international and regional hotspot issues. The Great Britain-China Centre is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with the IDCPC to help more young British people from the political, business and academic circles visit China and experience the real China.
