Beijing, March 18th—Chen Zhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Hikmet Hajiyev, Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of Azerbaijan. 

Chen spoke positively of the development of China-Azerbaijan relations and the results of cooperation in various fields. He said, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the CPC and the New Azerbaijan Party of Azerbaijan. The Chinese side is willing to work with the New Azerbaijan Party to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state on the development of bilateral relations, deepen experience exchanges in state governance and administration, and contribute to promoting China-Azerbaijan cooperation in various fields and consolidating the friendship between the two peoples. 

Hajiyev said, the Azerbaijani side highly appreciates and firmly supports the series of major concepts and initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, and believes that China's development achievements in the new era are of great significance to promoting world peace and development. Azerbaijan has always been China's sincere friend and reliable partner and is willing to strengthen friendly exchanges between the ruling parties of the two countries, consolidate political mutual trust between Azerbaijan and China, and push cooperation in various areas for more fruitful results.
