Liu Jianchao Meets with Craig Allen, President of the US-China Business Council

Beijing, March 22ndLiu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Craig Allen, President of the US-China Business Council.  


Liu said, the successful meeting between President Xi Jinping and President Joe Biden in San Francisco last November has charted the course for the development of bilateral relations. The Chinese side and the US side should jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. China and the United States (US) are each other's indispensable partners and major drivers of world economic growth. The business community is an important driving force for the sound and steady development of bilateral relations. The Chinese side appreciates the US-China Business Council for advocating cooperation with China and looks forward to working with the US-China Business Council to promote objective and rational understanding of China from all walks of life in the US, enhance mutual understanding and trust, and promote practical cooperation in various fields.  

Allen said, the successful meeting between the US and Chinese presidents in San Francisco at the end of last year sent a positive signal of strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting the stable development of bilateral relations. The American business community appreciates the more than a dozen dialogue mechanisms currently underway between the US and China. It is gratifying to see that China's "Two Sessions" have further clarified China's future diplomatic and economic policies. President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang's recent visits to foreign companies in China have deeply inspired the American business community. The US-China Business Council is willing to play its role to actively promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
