Sun Haiyan Meets with Daniel Russel, Vice President for Asia Society Policy Institute

Beijing, March 28th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Daniel Russel, Vice President for Asia Society Policy Institute, and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State.   


Sun said, the meeting between the heads of state of China and the US in San Francisco laid out a future-oriented San Francisco vision. Both sides should further implement the important consensus reached at the meeting, strengthen dialogue and communication, enhance correct understanding, and promote the stable, healthy and sustainable development of China-US relations. It is hoped that Asia Society Policy Institute will continue to successfully organize the China-US Track 1.5 Dialogue and help the strategic communities and people of the two countries enhance mutual understanding. 

Russel said, the meeting between the heads of state of the US and China in San Francisco successfully stabilized US-China relations. The two sides should speed up communication and cooperation, continue to hold multi-channel dialogues, launch more tangible results as soon as possible, and inject more positive factors into bilateral relations. Asia Society Policy Institute is willing to make more efforts for the stable development of US-China relations.
