International Department Central Committee of CPC

Beijing, March 29th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a delegation led by Addisu Arega Kitessa, Head of Public and International Relations Division of the Prosperity Party (PP) of Ethiopia.

Li spoke positively of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries, and introduced General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on the party’s self-reform and Chinese modernization in an in-depth way. He said, the Chinese side is willing to work with the Ethiopian side to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, deepen inter-party exchanges and mutual learning, promote practical cooperation and push China-Ethiopia all-weather strategic partnership to a new level.

Addisu said, the Ethiopian side admires the great achievements of the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and Chinese modernization, and highly appreciates the Belt and Road Initiative and the three major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping. The PP thanks China for supporting Ethiopia in joining the BRICS cooperation mechanism, and hopes to learn experience in state governance and administration from the CPC, strengthen exchanges with the CPC at all levels, and promote relations between the two countries for in-depth development.
