Liu Jianchao Holds a Group Meeting with Leaders of the Political Parties of the Thai Ruling Coalition

Bangkok, March 31st—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held here today a group meeting with leaders of the political parties of the ruling coalition of Thailand. Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, Leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Thawee Sodsong, Leader of the Prachachat Party and Minister of Justice, Nalinee Taveesin, Vice-chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Pheu Thai Party and Trade Representative, and Paiboon Nititawan, Deputy Leader of the Palang Pracharat Party, among other main political party leaders of the Thai ruling coalition, attended the meeting.  


Liu said, China and Thailand are good neighbors, good relatives and good partners connected by mountains and rivers. President Xi Jinping paid a historic visit to Thailand in 2022, ushering in a new era of building a China-Thailand community with a shared future. Next year, the two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and China-Thailand relations will usher in new opportunities for in-depth development. Under the new situation, the CPC is willing to work with the ruling parties of Thailand to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen high-level exchanges, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in party building and state governance, pursue high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, promote cooperation in major projects such as the construction of China-Thailand Railway, strengthen cooperation and exchanges in economy, trade, tourism, people-to-people and cultural engagement, further enhance the friendship between the two peoples, and boost the China-Thailand community with a shared future for deeper and more solid development. All political parties in the coalition are welcome to visit China collectively or in other forms to exchange in-depth views on issues of interest to both parties.   

Pirapan and others said, political parties of the ruling coalition of Thailand attach great importance to relations with the CPC and actively support Thailand and China in further strengthening friendly cooperation. The CPC has always adhered to its ideals and beliefs, led China to achieve rapid development, greatly improved people's living standards, and won widespread and heartfelt support from the Chinese people. The political parties of the ruling coalition of Thailand admire the CPC's achievements, and are willing to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning of experience of state governance and administration with the CPC. With serving the people as the governing philosophy, we can learn from each other in economic development, scientific and technological innovation, energy transformation, environmental protection, social governance and other aspects, jointly improve our governance capabilities, and promote the further development of our respective countries and Thailand-China relations.
