BEIJING, May 25 -- After the closing ceremony of the first China-Europe High-Level Political Parties Forum here this afternoon, a press conference was held, where Minister Wang Jiarui of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee stated participants still have a lot to share and the CPC will consult with European parties on how to continue this forum.

Wang said, I have noticed one thing in common from the remarks of different European colleagues, which is the hope to see more of this forum in varied forms in either Beijing or Brussels; this shows that all participants have enjoyed this forum to the last minute, and points to its success; as the organizer, we will discuss with European political parties to see how, where and in what forms we can better continue this dialogue.

This Forum is an innovation, he added, its success cannot be realized without the philosophy of common participation and joint organization, which is demonstrated by the host country, the organizer and European parties; in the future party-to-party exchanges between China and Europe, focus will remain on challenges in bilateral relations, so as to boost China-Europe ties through in-depth exchanges between political parties.

Finally, Wang thanked European friends once again, since they are all heavyweight statesmen in Europe, and their very participation testifies the attention they placed on the Forum.
