Shenzhen, May 28th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee and President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
Song thanked Nguyen Xuan Thang for paying a special trip to attend the Special Symposium to Commemorate the 200th Anniversary of Karl Marx’s Birth and the Special Promotion Conference on “Story of the CPC—Practice of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in Guangdong” in Shenzhen on behalf of the CPV, and believed that it fully reflects the high level of relations between the CPC and the CPV. China and Vietnam are both socialist countries under the leadership of the Communist Party, and the two countries are a community with a shared future with strategic significance. The CPC is willing to work with the CPV to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by General Secretaries of the two parties, strengthen strategic communication, give play to political guidance, and deepen friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two parties in all fields, so as to promote China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership for constant and new achievements.
Nguyen Xuan Thang congratulated the special conferences of the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting on its complete success in Shenzhen, appreciated the historic achievements made by China in reform and opening up over the past 40 years, and expressed that the top leaders of the two parties have already mapped out all aspects of the development of relations between Vietnam and China, and the CPV and the CPC will cooperate closely together to implement the consensus of the leaders of the two sides with tangible cooperation results, so as to truly benefit the people of Vietnam and China.
