Beijing, September 1st--Danny Faure, President of Seychelles, who was in China for the FOCAC Beijing Summit, visited the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) and met with Song Tao, Minister of the IDCPC on the afternoon.
Song expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful arrangements given by the Seychelles side during the recent visit to Seychelles. He said that President Xi Jinping had a fruitful meeting with Mr. President this morning, which charts the course for the development of relations between the two parties and the two countries. We should implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders. The friendly relations between the CPC and the People’s Party of Seychelles are a model and have played a political leading role in promoting China-Seychelles relations. We are willing to strengthen exchanges of experience with the People’s Party in state governance and administration and promote cooperation between the two sides under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative so as to promote the further development of China-Seychelles relations and contribute to the building of a community with a shared future between China and Africa.
Faure expressed that he visited the IDCPC as a leader of the youth party in 1994. Since then, he had visited the IDCPC many times in different capacities. Today, it is like going home. After the meeting and in-depth exchanges of views between President Xi and him, Seychelles-China relations have entered a new stage, and the friendly exchanges between the People’s Party and the CPC will also embrace a new beginning. The People's Party admires the great achievements made by the CPC in state governance and party building in recent years, and hopes to learn from the experience of the CPC to promote national development.
