Beijing, September 4th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the morning with a delegation headed by Raghubar Das, Leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJD) and Chief Minister of Jharkhand of India.
Song said that China-India friendship is of great significance to promoting the development of the two countries, as well as peace and stability in the region and the world. Since the beginning of this year, President Xi Jinping has met with Prime Minister Modi many times, which has formed a force to push bilateral relations towards the future. The CPC maintains sound inter-party relations with major political parties in India and is willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the ruling parties, and learn from each other’s experience in party governance and state administration to strive to consolidate the political and public opinion foundation of China-India friendship.
Das said that both the BJD and the CPC are super-large ruling parties, and they are all committed to developing economy and improving people's livelihood. The CPC's outstanding ruling achievements and rich experience are worth learning for the BJD. The BJD hopes to deepen inter-party exchanges to promote economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and at local levels.
