Beijing, September 7th--Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of the New Komeito Party of Japan headed by Natsuo Yamaguchi, Chief Representative of the New Komeito Party of Japan.
Song spoke positively of Natsuo Yamaguchi’s efforts and contributions to promoting the exchanges between Chinese and Japanese political parties and the development of China-Japan relations. Song said that political party exchanges are an important part of China-Japan relations. The friendly exchanges between the two countries with diverse forms and rich connotations have played an important political leading role in the improvement and development of China-Japan relations. The CPC is willing to further strengthen the conceptual communication and political mutual trust with the New Komeito Party and work together to consolidate the political foundation for the continuous improvement and development of China-Japan relations.
Natsuo Yamaguchi positively evaluated the important role played by the Japan-China ruling party exchange mechanism in promoting the development of Japan-China relations and expressed his willingness to further strengthen in-depth exchanges and cooperation with the CPC.
Both sides exchanged in-depth views on continuously well implementing the outcomes of the 6th and 7th Meetings of China-Japan Ruling Parties Exchange Mechanism held in 2017.
