Beijing, August 22nd—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended a group meeting with diplomatic envoys of the Arab States to China.

Song thanked Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Sameeh Essa Johar Hayat for organizing the group meeting with diplomatic envoys of the Arab States to China. He said he was glad to get to know more than 20 diplomatic envoys of the Arab States to China, and then briefed the Arab guests on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the ruling philosophy of the CPC, and discussed China-Arab States friendship.

Song briefed on the CPC’ experience and secret in its 70 years of governance from such aspects as having a powerful leadership core, having a correct guiding ideology, adhering to the people-centered development thought, correctly handling the relationship between reform, development and stability, and strengthening the party's construction, and shared with Arab diplomats the understanding and views of Xi Jinping Diplomatic Thoughts. Song also introduced the CPC's ongoing education campaign under the theme of “remaining true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission firmly in mind".

Song said that President Xi delivered a speech at the 8th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) in July 2018, announcing the establishment of a future-oriented strategic partnership of comprehensive cooperation and common development between China and Arab States, which opened a new historical chapter in China-Arab States relations. China is ready to work with Arab countries to enhance strategic mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, enhance mutual learning, push their respective countries to achieve greater development, jointly safeguard the interests of China and Arab States and other developing countries, and jointly uphold a fair and just international order.

Song said that the IDCPC, as a function department responsible for the foreign work of the CPC, will follow the guiding principles for a new type of political party relations put forward by General Secretary Xi, namely "seeking common ground while reserving differences, mutual respect and mutual learning", actively carry out exchanges with political parties of all countries including the Arab States, strengthen experience exchanges in state governance and administration, and promote practical cooperation and people-to-people bonds so as to make unremitting efforts to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

The Arab guests expressed warm congratulations on the 98th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and the upcoming 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. They believed that the group meeting provides a new channel for Arab diplomatic envoys to China to better understand China and the CPC. The Arab States admire China's great achievements in development under the leadership of the CPC and pay close attention to the CPC's efforts to promote innovation in ideology and theory and strengthen the party's self-improvement. Currently, Arab States-China relations enjoy a sound momentum of development. The CASCF is the most active and important cooperation forum established by the Arab League with countries outside the region. The Arab States hope to achieve synchronous development with China in the new era, further strengthen bilateral political relations, strengthen cooperation in various fields under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, and enhance people-to-people exchanges and friendship in a bid to push for greater development of Arab States-China relations.
