Katmandu, September 23rd--Khadga Prasad Oli, Co-chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) and Prime Minister of the Nepalese Government, met here today with Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Oli extended warm congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, spoke highly of China's great development achievements under the leadership of the CPC, and sincerely thanked China for its valuable support for Nepal's development. Oli said that Nepal regards China as a reliable friend, resolutely pursues the One China policy and will never allow any forces to engage in anti-china activities in Nepal's territory. Nepal is looking forward to the visit of Chinese leaders to open a new chapter in the history of Nepal-China relations. The CPN highly recognizes the ruling philosophy of the CPC and believes that Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era will not only lead China to achieve its two centenary goals, but also provide valuable reference for other countries and political parties to promote state governance and administration. At present, the CPN is leading Nepal into a new stage of development and eagerly looks forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation with the CPC to jointly lead Nepal-china relations to greater development.

Song said that China and Nepal are close neighbors that help each other. As both countries are ruled by the communist party, bilateral relations enjoy a solid foundation for steady development. As this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and of the CPC’s governance as well as the founding of the CPN, the two Parties and the two countries face new opportunities. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the CPC seeks the happiness for the Chinese people and contributes to the cause of human progress. We are ready to strengthen high-level exchanges with the CPN, enhance exchanges of experience in party governance and state administration, support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns, push for deeper and more solid development of pragmatic cooperation between the two countries, and lead China-Nepal comprehensive cooperative partnership featuring ever-lasting friendship to greater development, so as to better benefit the two countries and peoples.
