Beijing, November 7th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Radek Vondracek, Speaker of the Czech Chamber of Deputies and Deputy Head of ANO2011.
Song welcomed Vondracek’s attendance at the second China International Import Expo in China, saying that China and the Czech Republic enjoy a traditional friendship. In recent years, President Xi Jinping and President Milos Zeman have maintained close exchanges and pushed bilateral relations to a new stage. The CPC and ANO2011 are both ruling parties of their respective countries. They should make joint efforts to maintain the sound momentum of development of bilateral relations, push for new progress in jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative and handle sensitive issues that may affect mutual trust. It is hoped that the Czech side will take an active part in and promote cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European countries (CEECs) and make positive contributions to the success of the China-CEEC Summit to be held in China next year.
Song briefed on the fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and said that the decisions adopted at the plenary session on several major issues concerning upholding and improving the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and advancing the modernization of the country's governance system and capacity are groundbreaking and of great significance. They will provide new impetus and important guarantee for China to achieve its "two centenary goals", advance reform and opening up in the new era, respond to risks and challenges, and win the initiative. It will also contribute Chinese wisdom and solutions to the political progress of mankind. The CPC is ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with ANO2011 on the basis of mutual respect, seeking common ground while shelving differences and mutual learning, so as to lead China-Czech strategic partnership to greater development.
Vondracek congratulated on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and on China’s successful hosting of the 2nd China International Import Expo. He said that President Xi's important speech at the opening ceremony of the Expo conveyed positive signals that China will continue to push forward the opening-up at a higher level and welcome other countries to enter the Chinese market, which greatly encouraged many countries, including the Czech Republic. ANO2011 supports the development of bilateral relations and relations between CEECs and China, and stands ready to strengthen exchanges and exchanges with the CPC, and conduct in-depth discussions on state governance and administration and other issues to push for new progress in bilateral friendly cooperation.
