Beijing, March 30th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Jaime A. FlorCruz, Philippine Ambassador to China.

The two sides exchanged views on the current China-Philippines relations. Liu said, maintaining healthy and stable development of China-Philippines relations conforms to the common interests of the two countries and the two peoples. The Chinese side is willing to strengthen strategic communication with the Philippine side through inter-party exchanges and other channels, jointly consolidate the mutual trust foundation for the development of bilateral relations, and promote the steady and long-term development of China-Philippines friendship and practical cooperation in various fields.

FlorCruz said, the Philippines attaches great importance to developing relations with China and hopes for stable development of bilateral relations and constantly deepened bilateral cooperation in various fields. The Philippine side supports the political parties of the two countries in strengthening exchanges and cooperation to better enhance mutual trust and friendship.
