Liu Jianchao Meets with a Delegation of Political Parties of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic

Beijing, June 3rd—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of political parties of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic led by Ulan Primov, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.  


Liu said, in May last year, President Xi Jinping held fruitful talks with President Sadyr Japarov. They elevated bilateral relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era and announced the building of a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future of good neighborliness and shared prosperity. Both sides should fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, take the building of a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future as the main task, deepen political mutual trust, promote the Belt and Road cooperation and cooperation in other areas, deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and constantly enrich the connotation of China-Kyrgyzstan relations in the new era. The Chinese side highly appreciates the Kyrgyz side's long-term firm support for China on issues involving China's core interests and major concerns, and will continue to support Kyrgyzstan in following a development path that suits its national conditions and achieving common development.  

Liu said, the CPC maintains friendly exchanges with major political parties of Kyrgyzstan and has made important contributions to promoting the development of China-Kyrgyzstan relations. The CPC is willing to enhance exchanges at all levels with Kyrgyz political parties, make good use of multilateral platforms such as the China-Central Asia political parties dialogue, and Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Political Parties Forum, strengthen experience exchanges in party building and state governance, firmly support each other, and actively contribute to building a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future through inter-party channels, so as to inject more certainty and positive energy into the stability and development of the region.  

Primov said he was very pleased to lead the delegation to visit China. The delegation visited the Museum of the Communist Party of China and learnt about the tremendous development achievements of the CPC in uniting and leading the Chinese people in various fields. Calling China a friendly neighbor and important cooperation partner of Kyrgyzstan, he said recent years have witnessed fruitful cooperation and increasingly close exchanges at all levels between the two sides. The Kyrgyz side firmly supports the Chinese side's position on issues concerning its core interests such as the Taiwan question and issues of Xinjiang and Xizang, and supports President Xi Jinping's important propositions such as the Belt and Road Initiative and the three major global initiatives. It is willing to, together with the Chinese side, deepen friendly exchanges between political parties and parliaments, promote the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and economy and trade cooperation, and jointly push bilateral relations for greater development.
