Liu Jianchao Meets with a Delegation of the Patriotic Salvation Movement of Chad

Beijing, July 2nd—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation led by Mahamat Zen Bada, Secretary General of the Patriotic Salvation Movement (MPS) of Chad.  


Liu said that China and Chad are good friends, good partners, and good brothers. China is willing to work with Chad to further deepen cooperation in infrastructure, energy, mining, photovoltaics, and agriculture under the frameworks of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), follow the development path suited to respective national conditions, as well as safeguard international fairness and justice and the common interests of developing countries. He also called on both sides to implement the three global initiatives proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping and jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind. China praised Chad's firm support on issues related to China's core interests, including the Taiwan question. He mentioned that a new meeting of the FOCAC will be held in Beijing this September. China is willing to take this opportunity to promote greater development in China-Chad and China-Africa relations.  

Liu noted that the relationship between the two Parties has played a significant role in China-Chad relations. The CPC is willing to strengthen strategic communication with the MPS, deepen experience exchange and mutual learning in state governance and administration, facilitate mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields between the two countries through inter-party channels, and expand exchanges and cooperation among youth and women's organizations, social organizations, media and think tanks of the two Parties, to push the relationship between the two Parties to a new level, and provide continuous momentum for the development of China-Chad relations.  


Bada said that the relationship between Chad and China is developing well, with fruitful outcomes in pragmatic cooperation. The MPS has long maintained friendly cooperation with the CPC, stayed committed to promoting the development of relations between the two countries. With a commitment to the friendship with China Chad is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges with China, enhance political mutual trust, strengthen experience exchange and mutual learning in party building and state governance, and carry out cooperation and mutual learning around topics such as cadre training. Chad hopes to deepen cooperation with China in areas such as economy, trade, agriculture, and husbandry, and expand energy exploration and development projects, to achieve greater development.
