Beijing, August 26th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of the members of a seminar for Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) National Executive Committee led by Emmanuel Nchimbi, Secretary General of CCM of Tanzania.
Liu said, President Xi Jinping and President Samia Suluhu Hassan maintain close contacts, leading bilateral relations into a new era of comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Tanzanian side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, carry forward traditional friendship, consolidate political mutual trust, and promote bilateral relations for sustained and in-depth development. The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) will be held soon. The Chinese side is willing to, together with African countries, take the summit as an opportunity to enhance unity and cooperation, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, make new contributions to building a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future, and jointly safeguard the interests of the Global South countries.
Liu said, exchanges between the ruling parties have played an important role in promoting the vigorous development of China-Tanzania relations. The CPC is willing to work with the CCM to strengthen experience exchange in state governance and administration and the construction of the Party's leadership capacity, and build bridges for cooperation in fields such as economy, trade, culture between the two countries through inter-party channels, jointly implement the three major global initiatives and the Belt and Road Initiative, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. The third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee emphasized the efforts to further deepen reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization. China will adhere to high-quality development and the path of peaceful development, and share new development opportunities with African countries including Tanzania.
Nchimbi said the Tanzanian side highly admires China's tremendous development achievements in various fields under the leadership of the CPC. China's success is also Africa's success. He thanked the Chinese side for the long-term valuable support for Tanzania's economic and social development. Tanzania and China have a profound traditional friendship. Tanzania attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to work with the Chinese side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen high-level exchanges, promote practical cooperation, and better benefit the two peoples. The CCM is willing to strengthen strategic communication with the CPC, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, firmly support each other, and promote the development of Tanzania-China and Africa-China relations.
