Berlin, September 25th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Johannes Vogel, Deputy Chairman of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) of Germany. Both sides mainly introduced the situation of respective countries.

Liu said, the CPC is leading the Chinese people to implement the major reform measures rolled out at the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, further deepen reform comprehensively, expand high-level opening up, and promote Chinese modernization through high-quality development. China's development requires a good external environment, and will also promote the common development of its partners. The CPC is willing to continue to strengthen exchanges and dialogues with the FDP.

Vogel said, Germany is also undergoing economic transformation and adjusting its internal policies. The CPC is good at formulating long-term development strategies and firmly promoting economic development, winning the support of the people. The FDP is willing to intensify exchanges with the CPC, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, and promote cooperation between the two countries.
